1. Who we are

Joyshelf is made and provided by:

Dzianis Shakinau
Sole trader (jednoosobowa działalność gospodarcza) registered in CEIDG
Skierniewicka 34/230, 01-230 Warszawa, Poland
NIP 7252308296
Email: support@joypadworks.com

In these terms “we”, “us” and “our” mean the provider named above, and “you” means the person using Joyshelf. These terms are also the rules of providing services by electronic means (regulamin) required by Article 8 of the Polish Act of 18 July 2002 on providing services by electronic means.

2. What Joyshelf is

Joyshelf is an app for Android, iOS and the web (joyshelf.joypadworks.com) that lets you:

Joyshelf is free. It has no ads and no paid features. You can leave a tip if you'd like to support it (see Tips), but nothing in the app depends on it.

You enter into an agreement with us for using Joyshelf when you start using it, and it lasts until you stop. The agreement for a Joyshelf account starts when you create the account and lasts until the account is deleted. Both are for an indefinite time and free of charge.

3. What you need to use it

Like any service on the internet, Joyshelf comes with the usual risks of using the internet, such as malware or someone getting hold of your password. Keep your device and browser up to date and use a password you don't use anywhere else.

4. Game data and other people's content

We don't write the information about games ourselves. Joyshelf shows it from public sources, mainly Wikidata, Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons, and IGDB. This means that:

The app links to other websites and apps, such as stores, Wikipedia or Ko-fi. They are run by others, under their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

5. Your account

6. Your library and tags

What you put into Joyshelf, such as the games in your library, their states and your tags, stays yours. You allow us to store and process it only to provide Joyshelf to you, for example to sync it between your devices. We don't show it to anyone else. A link you share leads to a game, not to your library.

7. Using Joyshelf fairly

When you use Joyshelf, please don't:

If an account seriously or repeatedly breaks these rules, we may suspend or delete it. Unless the law or security doesn't allow it, we'll first tell you by email what is wrong and give you a chance to explain or fix it.

8. Tips

You can support Joyshelf with a tip: as an in-app purchase in the App Store or Google Play, or on Ko-fi from the web app.

9. The app and its licence

We give you a personal, free, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use Joyshelf on devices you own or control, according to these terms and, for the mobile apps, the rules of the store you got it from. Joyshelf includes open-source software, which is used under its own licences. Apart from what the law allows, please don't copy, modify, sell or reverse-engineer the app.

10. Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep Joyshelf running, but it may sometimes be unavailable, for example during maintenance or when the services it depends on are down. We may change, add or remove features. If we decide to shut Joyshelf down, we'll tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days in advance.

11. Our liability

Joyshelf is a free service provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we don't promise that it will always be available or free of errors, or that the game data in it is accurate, and we are not liable for losses caused by that.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law doesn't allow it, for example for damage we cause intentionally, or limits the rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.

12. Complaints

If something in Joyshelf doesn't work as it should, or you'd like to complain about anything else, write to support@joypadworks.com (or use Contact the developer in the app's Settings). Please describe the problem and give the email address of your account, if it's about the account. We'll answer by email within 14 days.

If you're a consumer, you can also use out-of-court ways to settle a complaint, for example with the help of a municipal or district consumer ombudsman (rzecznik konsumentów) or the Trade Inspection (Inspekcja Handlowa). You can read about them at uokik.gov.pl.

13. Privacy

How we handle your personal data is described in the Joyshelf Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms, for example when the law changes, when we add or change features, or to keep Joyshelf secure. We'll tell you about a change in the app, and by email if you have an account, at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you don't agree with it, you can stop using Joyshelf and delete your account before then. The date at the top shows when these terms were last changed.

15. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Polish law. If you're a consumer living in another country of the European Union, you also keep the protection the mandatory law of your country gives you. Disputes are settled by the courts that have jurisdiction under the law; as a consumer, you can always bring a case in the courts of the country where you live.

16. If you got Joyshelf from the App Store

If you downloaded Joyshelf from Apple's App Store, the following also applies:
